Why we restrict access

This Geoblocking Policy sets out the principles under which maxaa Ltd., operating under the brand “maxaa”, restricts access to its website and services based on geographic location.

maxaa operates as a business-to-business financial and crypto-asset infrastructure provider and is subject to applicable European Union and national laws and regulations, including requirements relating to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, sanctions, and financial services supervision.

Access to the website, services, onboarding processes, and transaction processing may be restricted, limited, or refused, in whole or in part, for users, customers, or counterparties located in, established in, or otherwise connected to certain jurisdictions. Such restrictions are implemented on the basis of legal obligations, regulatory and supervisory expectations, sanctions regimes, and internal risk and compliance assessments.

The jurisdictions listed on this page represent countries and territories where maxaa does not provide services or applies access restrictions due to elevated legal, regulatory, or compliance risk. This list may be updated or amended at any time, without prior notice, in response to changes in applicable laws, sanctions programs, regulatory guidance, or internal risk assessments.

Geoblocking measures may include, without limitation, blocking access to the website, restricting or refusing account registration, declining onboarding, limiting service functionality, or preventing the execution of transactions.

Geoblocking is applied as a supplementary risk-mitigation measure and does not replace customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, sanctions screening, or other compliance controls. maxaa reserves the right to take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of access or services, where access is attempted from restricted jurisdictions or where geographic information is inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete.

Users and business customers are solely responsible for ensuring that their access to and use of maxaa’s website and services complies with all applicable laws and regulations in their respective jurisdictions.

If access has been restricted in error, inquiries may be submitted to info@maxaa.eu.
