Geoblocking policy

Maxaa operates within strict regulatory boundaries across jurisdictions.

Why we restrict access

Maxaa operates as infrastructure for global payments. We bridge traditional banking and blockchain value transfer. This responsibility requires us to enforce geoblocking in jurisdictions where regulatory frameworks prohibit our services or where sanctions regimes restrict financial activity.

Our geoblocking policy is not arbitrary. It reflects our commitment to compliance with international sanctions programs, anti-money laundering directives, and local financial regulations. We work with legal counsel across multiple jurisdictions to maintain this list. When regulations change, we update our restrictions accordingly.

We cannot serve merchants or users in prohibited territories. This includes those accessing our platform from sanctioned jurisdictions, regardless of their citizenship or business registration. Our API and merchant dashboard enforce these restrictions at the network level.

If you believe your jurisdiction has been incorrectly classified, or if regulatory changes warrant reconsideration, contact our compliance team. We review requests on a case-by-case basis. However, we will not circumvent sanctions or operate in violation of international law.

Transparency matters. Below is our current list of restricted jurisdictions. We update this page when restrictions change.
